Mariah Carey celebrates 25th anniversary of Glitter album

Mariah Carey has released a 25th anniversary edition of her album, Glitter, which includes a digital deluxe version featuring 27 tracks. The expanded collection incorporates 15 additional songs drawn from the singer's personal archives, such as unreleased versions of “Lead The Way” and “All My Life,” as well as live medleys and demos.

In addition to the digital release, the anniversary celebration includes the debut of the album on vinyl in three different formats. As part of the project, a 4K restored and remastered version of the “Loverboy” music video, originally directed by David LaChapel, has been released after scanning the original 35mm film.

During a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session, Carey addressed long-standing rumors regarding a potential grunge album, responding to frequent inquiries with “#still.” She also expressed gratitude to her fans, known as the Lambs, for the #JusticeForGlitter campaign that helped revitalize interest in the project following its original release in 2001.
