Romanian football players reject major international transfer offers

Several prominent figures in Romanian football are making headlines regarding player transfers and league standings. Andrei Cordea, a player for CFR Cluj, has reportedly declined significant international offers to remain with his current club. According to CFR Cluj owner Ioan Varga, Cordea rejected a one-million-euro transfer clause and an annual salary of 800,000 euros from a Moscow-based team, as well as a 600,000-euro annual salary offer from Maccabi Tel-Aviv in Israel.

Similarly, Universitatea Craiova striker Steven Nsimba has turned down offers from clubs in China and Saudi Arabia. Nsimba reportedly chose to stay in Romania to continue competing in European leagues and maintain his performance levels with Craiova.

In league developments, Dinamo București has established a strong position at the top of the SuperLiga standings. Former club owner Marian Iancu expressed his admiration for the team’s recent performance, noting their ability to secure points against major competitors like FCSB and Universitatea Craiova.
