Mariana Ochoa details rift with Ari Borovoy and end of OV7

Singer Mariana Ochoa has detailed the reasons behind her ongoing estrangement from former OV7 bandmate Ari Borovoy. In a recent interview, Ochoa explained that the rift originated from financial management issues after Borovoy’s company, Bobo Producciones, took over the group's representation.

Ochoa noted that while the group previously operated with an “open books” policy where all members could review accounts, the transition to Borovoy’s management led to discrepancies. Although Ochoa stated that Borovoy eventually paid the “last peso” owed to resolve the differences, she emphasized that the incident caused a permanent break in trust among the members.

The relationship fractured further when several members, including Ochoa, Lidia Ávila, Érika Zaba, and Óscar Schwebel, decided to organize the group's 30th-anniversary tour without prior consultation with Borovoy. While Ochoa remains in contact with most of her former colleagues, she confirmed that Borovoy remains the only member with whom she is completely distanced.
