Mariann Falusi recalls Györgyi Lang’s difficult relationship with her stepfather

Singer Mariann Falusi has shared emotional recollections regarding the personal history of her late friend and former colleague, Györgyi Lang. During an appearance on the ‘Palikék Világa’ podcast, Falusi discussed the painful relationship between Lang and her stepfather, actor Károly Mécs.

Lang, who passed away in May 2023, had been raised by Mécs for 18 years following her parents' divorce. Falusi recounted a distressing incident involving a television program hosted by Friderikusz, where Mécs reportedly denied having a daughter despite being prompted otherwise.

Falusi noted that Lang had long sought a reconciliation with Mécs, but the actor ultimately declined to participate in a meeting intended to mend their relationship. The discussion was prompted by the presentation of a sentimental textile scarf that held significant meaning for Lang throughout her life.
