Mariano Perroni Testifies Again in Maradona Death Trial
Head nurse Mariano Perroni will resume his testimony on Tuesday, June 15, during the criminal trial over the death of Argentine football legend Diego Maradona. The hearing, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in the San Isidro court, will also feature testimony from three therapeutic companions of Clinic Olivos – brothers Carlos and Alfredo Cottaro and Carlos Roberto Bacchini – who cared for Maradona during his home confinement.
The trial seeks to establish responsibility for Maradona’s fatal subdural hematoma and includes other accused parties: neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque, psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, psychologist Carlos Díaz, nurse Ricardo Almirón, Swiss Medical home‑care chief Nancy Forlini, and clinician Pedro Di Spagna. Additionally, nurse Dahiana Madrid faces a separate jury trial that has been delayed by a recusal challenge against Judge María Coelho.
