Mariatou Koné calls for new evaluation criteria for Ivorian public enterprises

Mariatou Koné, Côte d'Ivoire's Minister of State Portfolio and Public Enterprises, has called for a revision of evaluation criteria for public companies. Speaking at the 8th edition of the Excellence Prize for Good Governance and Performance of Ivorian Public Enterprises in Abidjan, Koné emphasized that the ultimate goal of these entities is to satisfy the needs of the population.

The proposed changes aim to move beyond purely quantitative economic and financial indicators. New evaluation standards will incorporate qualitative and social metrics, including public perception of service quality, corporate social responsibility, environmental and social management, and the quality of stakeholder dialogue.

Koné also stressed the importance of transparency and ethics in governance to build trust and promote a culture of accountability. During the ceremony, the GUCE-CI was recognized as the winner of the Super Prize.
