Marib General Hospital water service project inaugurated in Yemen
Dr. Abdurabbuh Miftah, Undersecretary of Marib Governorate, has inaugurated a project to improve water services at Marib General Hospital. The initiative is funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and implemented by the Yamani Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works.
The project aims to provide safe and sustainable water for over 24,760 beneficiaries, including medical staff, patients, and visitors. Key components of the infrastructure include drilling a new 180-meter deep well, rehabilitating an existing well, and constructing a 50-cubic-meter concrete tower tank.
To ensure sustainability, the project incorporates two solar energy systems with a 55 kW capacity and a water desalination plant capable of producing 20,000 liters per hour. Additionally, a 1,114-meter water piping network will be installed to support the hospital's medical equipment and general usage.
