Marib health services expand through ICRC support and new dental center

Health services in Marib, Yemen, are seeing both international support and local expansion. An International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) medical team, led by Deputy Public Health Coordinator Kosai Koman, met with Marib Deputy Governor Dr. Abdurabbuh Miftah to assess critical medical and technical needs. The mission aims to strengthen the capacity of local facilities, including Marib General Hospital, the Military Hospital, and Kary General Hospital, particularly in response to increased pressure on services caused by regional instability and military escalations.

Simultaneously, local authorities have expanded specialized care with the opening of the Dr. Hussein al-Wutairi Center for Orthodontics and Dental Implants. Marib Administrative Affairs Deputy Governor Abdullah al-Bakri inaugurated the facility, which includes three clinics, a laboratory, and a sterilization room. The new center is intended to provide advanced dental services such as implants, orthodontics, and digital X-rays, reducing the need for residents to travel outside the province for specialized treatment.
