Maribel Guardia files criminal complaint against Imelda Tuñón

Actress and singer Maribel Guardia has filed a criminal complaint against her former daughter-in-law, Imelda Tuñón, following the death of her son, Julián Figueroa. The complaint, presented to the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City, includes allegations of crimes against health and homicide.

According to legal counsel Alonso Beceiro, the accusations stem from the illegal acquisition and improper administration of controlled and psychotropic medications to Figueroa. The legal team claims to possess evidence, including testimonies, communication records, and audiovisual material, to support the claim that Tuñón provided these substances despite knowing they could cause severe health issues or death.

The legal dispute follows Tuñón's recent statements in a podcast, where she admitted to obtaining medications from a psychiatrist to help Figueroa with sleep issues. Figueroa passed away in 2023 due to an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation, a death that has come under renewed scrutiny following these developments.
