Maribor allocates €120k for school sports field upgrades as Croatia ends school rebuild contract

The Municipality of Maribor in Slovenia approved a public procurement contract worth €121,004.32 (excluding VAT) to refurbish outdoor sports surfaces at three primary schools: Os. Kamnica, Os. Draga Kobala and Os. Franca Rozmana Staneta. The works include installing new handball court surfaces and replacing the athletic track at Os. Rozmana, with contracts awarded to local construction firms based on the lowest price.

In Osijek‑Baranja County, Croatia, the county administration terminated its contract with Raafourty Holding d.o.o. for the reconstruction of the Miroslava Krleže primary school in Cepin before any work began. The cancellation was made to protect public interest and to enable a new procurement process for the project.

Both actions reflect local authorities’ management of public‑sector construction contracts for educational facilities.
