Maribor students participate in blood donation campaign

Students in Maribor are participating in the traditional blood donation campaign titled ‘Častim pol litra’ (I treat half a liter). Following a large-scale event at ŠTUK, the initiative continues at the UKC Maribor Transfusion Medicine Center.

Organizers noted a growing number of student donors, which is vital for securing future generations of blood donors. While current blood supplies are stable, officials emphasize that demand can spike unexpectedly due to accidents, surgeries, or sudden medical conditions. The campaign aims to encourage young people to make blood donation a lifelong habit.
