Maricá advances women's football partnership with Flamengo

The city of Maricá is advancing a partnership with the Flamengo football club to support women's football. The city's logo appeared on the Flamengo women's team uniform during a recent Brasileirão quarter-final match, signaling that an official agreement is nearing completion.

According to Mayor Washington Quaquá, the ‘Flamengo Maricá’ project aims to develop youth athletes and establish the city as a national reference for women's football. Planned initiatives include the construction of a stadium and the strengthening of public sports policies to foster new talent.
