Maricá begins medical internship program for university students

The Maricá municipal government has launched the practical internship phase for medical students enrolled in the 'Passaporte Universitário' program. The first stage of this two-year training period is taking place at the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS 3) in the city center.

During the program, students will rotate through various medical sectors, including Mental Health, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, and Urgency and Emergency services. The initiative aims to provide practical training for future doctors while strengthening the local public health network through humanized care provided by students who are residents of the municipality.
