Maricá cancels FLIM programming due to heavy rain and wind

The Maricá City Hall has cancelled all scheduled activities for the 11th Maricá International Literary Festival (FLIM) on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The decision follows heavy rainfall and strong winds that hit the city and surrounding regions.

The cancellation includes the Book Fair tents, musical performances, debates, and scheduled discussion tables. Local authorities stated the measure was taken as a preventive action to ensure the safety of the public, exhibitors, artists, and event professionals.

No new dates for the cancelled activities have been announced yet. The municipal administration advised residents and visitors to monitor official government channels for further updates before traveling to the event site.
