Maricá hosts diverse cultural, agricultural, and social events
The municipality of Maricá is hosting several diverse events focused on culture, entrepreneurship, and agriculture. The city will celebrate the Maricá Women's Day on September 4 with activities including dance classes, an artisan fair, and gastronomy to promote female entrepreneurship.
In the realm of music and samba, the third edition of ‘Maricá faz a Festa’ is scheduled for October 10 at Cidade do Samba in Rio de Janeiro. Organized by União de Maricá, the event will feature performances by Renan Oliveira, Fabinho, Pagode da Viela, and the 2026 carnival champion Unidos do Viradouro.
Additionally, Maricá is launching its first agricultural exhibition from September 17 to 27. Announced by Mayor Washington Quaquá, the fair aims to support small producers through livestock competitions and local product sales. The initiative also includes the planned launch of a Medieval Village to boost regional tourism.
On September 6, the city will host the 12th LGBTQIAPN+ Pride Parade at the Itaipuaçu waterfront, featuring musical performances by Pocah, Vivi Serrano, and DJ Carol Sabá to promote diversity and inclusion.
