Maricá hosts 1st Expo Rural with agricultural and musical events

The 1st Expo Rural Maricá is underway at the Parque de Exposições in Espraiado, featuring an eight-day program of agricultural exhibitions, livestock displays, and musical performances. Organized by the Companhia de Cultura e Turismo de Maricá (MARÉ), the event aims to strengthen the link between rural production, tourism, and local culture.

The musical lineup includes performances by César Menotti & Fabiano, scheduled for 22:30 on Sunday, alongside other artists such as Forró Nega Clel and Pagode MW. The event also hosts various agricultural competitions, including the final of the Rodeio Classificatório para Barretos, and exhibitions of Tabapuã and Girolando cattle.

In a separate regional initiative, the Agro Food Show in Marília has utilized a solidarity entry system, where attendees exchange non-perishable food items for access to cultural programming. This effort, led by the Marília City Hall through its Social Fund, aims to provide direct aid to vulnerable families in the community.
