Maricá launches ConectaPet digital platform for animal welfare

The city of Maricá is launching ConectaPet, a new digital platform designed to modernize public services for animal protection and welfare. Scheduled for release on September 3, the tool aims to centralize essential services and reduce bureaucracy for pet owners.

In its initial phase, the platform will allow residents to issue a digital 'RG Animal' for official pet identification and register for municipal neutering programs. Robson Teixeira, the Secretary of Animal Welfare, stated that the platform will facilitate access to population control programs and provide the municipality with critical data to plan more efficient public policies regarding local animal health and protection.
