Maricá Municipal Guard module damaged during disturbance

A disturbance involving the Municipal Guard occurred in Maricá during the early hours of Thursday. The incident, which took place around 3:10 a.m., resulted in damage to a guard module after it was struck by stones and subjected to verbal aggression.

During the chaos, agents sought radio assistance as they were initially unable to leave the location safely. One individual, Edivaldo Inácio Matias, reported being injured by a knife and a stone during the tumult. Witnesses suggested the conflict may have stemmed from a prior physical altercation involving Matias earlier that day.

Following medical treatment by the Fire Department, all involved parties were taken to the 82nd DP. The duty delegate did not order immediate arrests, meaning those involved will respond to charges of minor bodily injury while remaining free pending further investigation.
