Marie-Luise Marjan uses walker following serious hip injury
German actress Marie-Luise Marjan, known for her long-running role in the ARD series ‘Lindenstraße’, has shared that she now uses a walker as a precautionary measure following a serious injury.
In June 2024, Marjan suffered a broken hip after falling on a theater stage. The incident required immediate surgery and subsequent rehabilitation in Bad Driburg. While she reports that her health has improved significantly, the 86-year-old actress explained in an interview with ‘Bunte’ that she uses the mobility aid to prevent further falls and to ensure she can continue participating in social activities and public appearances, such as her recent visit to the equestrian world championships in Aachen.
Marjan noted that while it was initially difficult to use a walker in public, the benefit of maintaining an active social life outweighs any hesitation. She continues to travel for readings and public events, often accompanied by support during larger appearances.
