Marie Rauzy exhibition to be held at Bunkamura Gallery 8/
The Marie Rauzy exhibition, titled ‘Marie Rauzy Exhibition – Unpredictable Painter, Endless Transformation –’, will be held at Bunkamura Gallery 8/ in Tokyo from September 4 to September 14, 2026. The exhibition commemorates the 120th anniversary of the passing of Paul Cézanne, who was Rauzy’s great-great-grandfather.
Born in Marseille, France, in 1961, Rauzy is a contemporary artist known for using abstract portraits and classical homages to explore modern societal issues and the human condition. The exhibition will feature a variety of original works, including new pieces recently unveiled in Paris in May. These works will be both exhibited and available for sale.
Rauzy graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts in 1980 and has exhibited across Europe. Her career includes participation in the ‘ChiFra’ group exhibition across Paris, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, as well as a 2019 exhibition at the Orangerie du Sénat in Paris. In addition to her painting, she has worked as a teacher at Chomel Public School in Paris since 1989.
