Arpichaya Yubol and Sophia Schubert tie for lead at Portland Classic

Arpichaya Yubol and Sophia Schubert are tied for the lead at the LPGA Tour’s Standard Portland Classic at Columbia Edgewater Country Club. After three rounds of play, both golfers sit at 16-under 200, entering the final day with a two-shot advantage over the rest of the field.

Yubol, a 24-year-old from Thailand, maintained her position despite a 68 in the third round, which was her highest score of the tournament. She has been seeking her first LPGA victory after previous runner-up finishes at the Mayakoba and ShopRite LPGA events.

Schubert, a 30-year-old American, matched Yubol with a 67 in the third round. Schubert, who recently competed on the Epson Tour, noted that her recent focus on putting has been a significant factor in her performance.

Other notable competitors include Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand, who is in third place at 14 under, and South Korea’s Na Rin An, currently in fourth at 13 under. The tournament features a $2 million purse.
