Marietta Giannakou Program funds school upgrades in Greece

The Marietta Giannakou Program, a corporate social responsibility initiative funded by the Hellenic Banking Federation, is expanding its school renovation efforts across Greece. The program aims to upgrade public school infrastructure through works implemented by KTYP S.A.

In Elassona, the school complex housing the 1st Vocational High School (EPAL) and the ENEGYL has been included in the program following a proposal from the Municipality. The project will focus on improving the building's appearance and restoring athletic facilities that have lacked maintenance for years.

In Alexandroupoli, two additional units—the 2nd Day Junior High School and a Special Kindergarten—have been selected for the program. Planned works include interior and exterior painting, waterproofing, repairing sanitary facilities, installing accessibility ramps or elevators for people with disabilities, and renovating basketball and volleyball courts.
