Marija Kepić's remains found near Risovača cave after six years

The remains of Marija Kepić, a 29-year-old woman from Aranđelovac who disappeared in October 2020, have been discovered near the Risovača cave after nearly six years. The discovery was made possible by several anonymous letters sent to her family, which provided specific details and suggested using a drone to search the area.

Marija's father, Slavenko Kepić, reported that the family used a drone as suggested by the letters, leading them to find skeletal remains partially buried. He noted he recognized his daughter's sneakers among the findings. DNA analysis has officially confirmed the identity of the remains.

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Kragujevac has confirmed the discovery and ordered additional forensic examinations to determine the exact cause of death and whether the death was the result of a crime. Investigations are ongoing to identify the sender of the anonymous letters and to clarify the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
