Marija Krucifiksa Kozulić commemorated in Rijeka and Slatina
Religious commemorations were held in honor of Marija Krucifiksa Kozulić, a Servant of God and founder of charitable institutions in Rijeka and the Society of the Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
In Rijeka, pilgrims gathered at the monastery on Pomerije for a mass led by Josip Šimatović, vicar for pastoral care of the Gospić-Senj Diocese. The service focused on Kozulić’s spiritual legacy and the importance of remaining faithful to God’s calling even amidst changing circumstances.
In Slatina, a novena and three-day prayer period were observed at the Church of St. Joseph. Local clergy, including Tomislav Dokoza and Josip Homjak, led the services, emphasizing Kozulić’s life of service to poor children and her role as a spiritual model for the religious community.
