Marijana Dokoza to present two novels at Frankfurt Book Fair

Author and journalist Marijana Dokoza is set to present two novels at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Her work, which draws on true life experiences, explores sensitive themes within human relationships.

One novel, ‘Njegova žena’ (His Wife), will be presented in Italian at the Italian pavilion. The story follows a woman who discovers her husband participated in the rape of a thirteen-year-old girl during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The narrative details her journey through the legal process and her attempt to protect her children while facing this truth.

The second novel, ‘Provalija’ (The Abyss), focuses on a man named Josip who discovers after ten years of marriage that the three children he raised are not his biological offspring. Dokoza has previously received the ‘Goran Bujić – književnici novinari’ award for her literary and journalistic contributions.
