Marijo Tot emphasizes youth development at Široki Brijeg

Marijo Tot, the new coach of Široki Brijeg, has expressed that the club's focus on supporting young players is the key to its future success. Tot joined the club during a dense competitive schedule and has highlighted his motivation to work with emerging talent.

Reflecting on his career, Tot brings over 25 years of international experience to the role. His previous coaching stints include working with Dinamo Zagreb, Lokomotiva, and Istra 1961 in Croatia. Internationally, he has coached in China with Harbin Yiteng and Changchun Yatai, in Malaysia with Kedah, and served as an assistant at Dinamo Bucharest, HŠK Zrinjski, and Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Tot also noted his involvement with the Iranian national team during their qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He described his return to Herzegovina, where he began his professional coaching career, as a full-circle moment, stating that he returns with vast experience but the same desire for success.
