Marika Gombitová celebrates 70th birthday and 50 years in music

Slovak singer Marika Gombitová recently celebrated her 70th birthday and marked 50 years in the music industry. Following a concert in Prešov, she performed in Prague, where she expressed her continued connection to the Czech and Slovak musical landscape.

Since joining the group Modus in 1976, Gombitová has become a cultural icon. Her career highlights include her 1979 debut solo album, ‘Dievča do dažďa’, and the emotive track ‘Vyznanie’. Her influence spans generations through various roles in animation, musicals, and radio.
