Marileidy Paulino wins fourth Diamond League title in Brussels
Dominican sprinter Marileidy Paulino secured her fourth Diamond League title in the women’s 400 meters at the final held in Brussels, Belgium. Paulino won the race with a time of 48.64 seconds, which also established a new meeting record at the King Baudouin Stadium.
Paulino dominated the race from lane five, finishing ahead of Norway’s Henriette Jæger (49.20) and Jamaica’s Nickisha Pryce (39.36). This victory allows the Olympic champion to reclaim the title she lost in 2025 to Bahrain’s Salwa Eid Naser.
With this win, Paulino becomes the first woman to win the Diamond League 400m title four times. Her performance concludes an undefeated season in the Diamond League circuit, following victories in Doha, Paris, Monaco, London, and Silesia.
