Marileidy Paulino to compete in Budapest Ultimate Championship

Dominican Olympic champion Marileidy Paulino has officially confirmed her participation in the 400 meters at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest. The event, scheduled for September 11–13, 2026, will feature elite athletes including Olympic and world champions, as well as Diamond League winners.

Paulino secured her place automatically due to her status as the reigning Olympic 400m champion from Paris 2024. She enters the competition as a world leader for the 2026 season, following a performance of 48.48 seconds in Paris that set a Diamond League record. Her recent successes also include winning her fourth Diamond League title in Brussels.
