Marin Miletić demands safety ramps for Delnice railway crossings

Marin Miletić, a Member of Parliament from the Most party, has called for the installation of protective ramps at two unsecured railway level crossings in Delnice. During a press conference, Miletić warned that these crossings pose a significant safety risk, noting that accidents at these locations have already resulted in fatalities and permanent disabilities.

Miletić urged Minister Oleg Butković, the Croatian Government, and Croatian Railways (Hrvatske željeznice) to implement these concrete safety measures. He criticized the lack of security at these crossings despite announced investments of hundreds of millions of euros into railway infrastructure. He stated that residents require practical solutions rather than large promises and announced that he would submit amendments to the state budget to secure funding if authorities do not act immediately.

Marin Žagar, a traffic expert, also spoke at the conference, supporting the call for improved safety. He suggested that railway ramps or barriers should be integrated into construction programs to ensure safety at these crossings by 2027.
