Marián Rojas calls for emotional care for teachers at Madrid education congress

At the opening of the TOP Voces Educación 2026 congress in Madrid, psychiatrist and author Marián Rojas emphasized the necessity of emotional care for teachers. She highlighted challenges such as the attention crisis, the constant search for gratification, and the impact of screens on children and adolescents.

The event, organized by ACADE, also faced external tension as representatives of the ‘marea amarilla’ protested outside the venue to demand improvements in the Early Childhood Education sector. Juan Santiago, president of ACADE, criticized the methods of the protest and stated that responsibility for teacher compensation lies with public administration rather than the association.
