Marina Almășan shares memories of school during the communist era

TVR 2 presenter Marina Almășan shared personal recollections of her school days during the communist era in Romania. She described the period as the 'Made in China' generation, noting that school supplies such as pencils, watercolors, and pencil cases were imported from China and remained affordable for families.

Almășan recalled strict school regulations regarding appearance, including specific requirements for haircuts and socks. She also noted traditions such as presenting teachers with large bouquets of gladioli and using blue paper to wrap notebooks, as plastic covers were not yet available. She described the process of attaching labels to notebooks using saliva and mentioned the necessity of wearing mandatory school uniforms.
