Marina di Lesina Pro Loco addresses missing Ferragosto traditions

The Pro Loco of Marina di Lesina has issued a statement addressing the absence of traditional religious processions and fireworks during the Ferragosto celebrations in honor of Stella Maris.

The association attributed the lack of a land procession to a growing public disinterest and declining participation in local traditions. Regarding the cancellation of the seaside fireworks display, the organization cited unsustainable costs due to insufficient financial support from residents and vacationers. The Pro Loco emphasized that their members work on a voluntary basis and criticized the lack of community contribution despite high attendance at other summer events.
