Marina di Modica Beach Volley Gold Stage Ends with Alfieri/Ranghieri and Mattavelli/Puccinelli Claim Titles

The second Gold stage of the 2026 Italian Absolute Beach Volley Championship took place on the sand of Marina di Modica. After a day of qualifications that set the main draw field, the tournament progressed through quarter‑finals and semifinals on July 11, culminating in the finals on July 12.

In the women's final, Aurora Mattavelli and Claudia Puccinelli triumphed over Chiara They and Sara Breidenbach, winning the decisive tie‑break 18‑16; Mattavelli was named tournament MVP. In the men’s final, defending champions Manuel Alfieri and Alex Ranghieri defeated Marco Caminati and Enrico Rossi in straight sets to retain the title, with Alfieri earning MVP honours. Third‑place matches saw Jessica Belliero Piccinin/Francesca Michieletto win the women’s bronze and Giacomo Spadoni/Marco Ulisse placed fourth in the men’s draw.

The event, organized by ISOCI with support from regional authorities, attracted large crowds and was broadcast live on Rai Sport and streaming platforms, confirming Marina di Modica as a premier venue for Italian beach volleyball.
