Marina di Modica inaugurates first community Little Free Library

The Marina Book Sharing – Little Free Library, the first community free library in Marina di Modica, was officially inaugurated on August 8. Organized by the Associazione Sicilia Arte APS, the event was attended by over 200 people, including local authorities, entrepreneurs, citizens, and tourists.

During the ceremony, Marcello Sarta, president of Associazione Sicilia Arte APS, explained the project's origins and its goal to provide a public space for reading and community participation. Modica Mayor Maria Monisteri attended the event, donating two books and highlighting the importance of associative initiatives that provide collective assets to the city.

The library has been dedicated to Francesca Di Martino. The inauguration included musical performances by Danilo Minardo and Adriano Denaro, and saw participation from various institutional figures, including Nino Minardo, president of the IV Defense Commission of the Chamber of Deputies.
