Marina di Pisa fundraiser secures funds for neonatal ultrasound probe

A fundraising event titled ‘Natale Azzurro’ held at Bagno Azzurro in Marina di Pisa successfully raised 3,083.66 euros to purchase a specialized medical device. The funds are intended for the Neonatology Unit of the University of Pisa.

The proceeds will be used to acquire a ‘hockey stick’ ultrasound probe. This specific tool features a small, angled head designed for use on neonates, allowing for high-definition imaging of tiny structures and more precise medical maneuvers, which helps reduce discomfort for infants.

The initiative was organized by Bagno Azzurro and Ristorante Azzurro Sottocosta in support of the ‘Io sto con Chiara’ Foundation, which is managing the collection of funds for the device.
