Marina di Pisa photography competition sees record success

The eighth edition of the summer photography competition ‘Il mare e la sua gente’ in Marina di Pisa has concluded with 143 participants. Organized by the Photo Experience Cultural Association in collaboration with the Beninidi Pharmacy and the Pro Loco del Litorale pisano, the event continues to grow in popularity.

The competition featured four categories: Litorale beaches, drone photography, Under 16, and a popular jury prize. Maria Grazia Ceccanti won the Litorale beaches category with ‘Quanti ricordi...’, a photograph of an elderly couple. Sebastiano Cuce won the new drone category with ‘Marina dance’.

Due to the event's success, the Pro Loco has secured its inclusion in the Marenia 2026 calendar as one of the season's most significant events.
