Marina Lima criticizes Paula Burlamaqui over aging comments

Singer Marina Lima has publicly criticized actress Paula Burlamaqui following the latter's comments regarding the aging process. The dispute began after Burlamaqui, 59, participated in the ‘Vozes do Retiro’ podcast, where she described aging as ‘the punishment of the human being’ and a ‘degradation.’

During the interview, Burlamaqui discussed the physical changes and exhaustion she experiences, noting her reliance on hormone replacement therapy, medical monitoring, and exercise to maintain her well-being. She expressed that she sees no positive aspects in the process of growing older.

In response on the social media platform X, Lima, 70, dismissed the actress's views as ‘folly’ and ‘shallow,’ stating that ‘life is much more than beauty.’ Lima further commented that Burlamaqui seemed to be in a ‘particular hell’ due to her perspective on aging. As of the latest reports, Burlamaqui has not responded to the criticisms.
