Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2026 launches from Venice
The sixth edition of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour – Italy's Giro d’Italia a Vela – set off from the San Marco basin in Venice on 5 June 2026. Covering more than 1,250 miles, the race will trace a coastal route through the Adriatic, Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas before finishing in Genoa.
The event features ten Bénéteau Figaro 3 yachts and additional classes such as the fast Waszp boats and wing‑foil boards, enabling offshore, inshore and foil disciplines. Crews from Italy and abroad compete, with the opening stage podium taken by the Guardia di Finanza team, followed by Germany’s Verein Seglerhaus am Wannsee and a second Italian navy crew.
Organisers stress the tour’s role in promoting maritime heritage, youth education and coastal sustainability under the theme “Giovani, Mare e Futuro – Valore Paese Italia”. The race is backed by the Italian Ministry of Sport, the Italian Sailing Federation and international bodies including the RORC and World Sailing.
