Marina Šotiček signs with Hajduk as Rijeka transfer collapses

HNK Rijeka had prepared a contract for 21‑year‑old winger Marina Šotiček, believing the player would continue his career at the Rujevica stadium. Negotiations were close, but Hajduk Split entered the race at the last moment, prompting Šotiček to accept Hajduk’s offer. Rijeka’s president Damir Mišković stuck to the club’s strict financial policy and declined to enter a bidding war, opting instead to search for another fast winger on the foreign market.
