Marina Ruy Barbosa and João Guilherme begin work on “O Mistério do 5 Estrelas”

Actors Marina Ruy Barbosa and João Guilherme have completed the first script reading for the upcoming feature film “O Mistério do 5 Estrelas”. The production, based on the work of Marcos Rey, is a Boutique Filmes project in co-production with Globo Filmes, Sony Pictures International Productions Brazil, and Ukbar Filmes.

Directed by Vera Egito with a screenplay by Bruno Passeri, filming is scheduled to begin in October. João Guilherme will portray Leo, a young man working in a luxury hotel who investigates a murder at the location. The cast also includes Douglas Silva, Caco Ciocler, José Condessa, and Lau Cotrim. Sony Pictures will handle the film's distribution.
