Marina Sena faces criticism over European tour dates during elections

Brazilian singer Marina Sena has drawn public backlash following the announcement of her ‘Coisas Naturais’ European tour, which includes a performance in Lisbon, Portugal, on October 25. Critics on social media have questioned the singer's political consistency, noting her vocal support for President Lula while scheduling shows during the second round of elections.

Some observers expressed concern that the tour schedule might prevent her staff from participating in the voting process. While Brazilian law allows for voting in transit, it does not permit voting at polling stations located outside of Brazil for those residing in the country.

Federal Deputy André Janones defended the artist, labeling the criticisms as ‘clowning’ and praising her for her political transparency. Janones argued that the backlash against a political ally over scheduling issues undermines progressive cohesion.
