Marina Tucaković memorial marks fifth anniversary amid industry disputes

The fifth anniversary of the death of legendary songwriter Marina Tucaković was marked by a memorial service at the New Cemetery in Belgrade. Her husband, composer Aleksandar Radulović Futa, attended the ceremony alongside Mira Kosovka, Danijel Pavlović, and Bojan Jovanovski, known as Boki 13.

The event led to public tension within the regional music industry. Boki 13 criticized several colleagues, specifically naming singer Ana Nikolić, for their absence from the memorial, labeling the lack of attendance as “hypocrisy.” This prompted a sharp response from Goran Ratković Rale, Nikolić’s partner, who accused Boki 13 of performing for the cameras and lacking dignity.

Reflecting on Tucaković’s life, reports noted her significant impact on the Balkan music scene and her past personal history, including a four-year relationship with singer Oliver Mandić during the early stages of his career. She is buried alongside her sons, Miloš and Milan Laća Radulović.
