Marine biologist Emily Morrison sets shark‑tattoo world record

Emily Morrison, a shark biologist and dive‑tour operator based in Venice, Florida, was officially recognized by Guinness World Records for having the most shark‑themed tattoos on a woman’s body. Her body is covered with 106 tattoos that depict 71 different shark species, several fossilized shark teeth and even a real shark tooth, making it an underwater encyclopedia of the group.

Morrison’s fascination with sharks began after watching the 1975 film Jaws as a child and later turned into a career that includes feeding tiger sharks, cage‑diving with great whites and swimming with whale sharks worldwide. She showcases her ink on the Discovery Channel’s “My Strange Shark Addiction” during Shark Week and continues to lead shark‑related dive excursions along the Gulf Coast.
