Marine engineer missing after MV Ocean Winner shipwreck off Odisha coast

Abdullah Al Mamun, a marine engineer from Satkhira, remains missing 15 days after the shipwreck of the Panama-flagged vessel ‘MV Ocean Winner’ off the coast of Odisha, India. Mamun was the only Bangladeshi crew member on board.

His family reported his last contact on August 20, followed by news of the sinking on August 22. His parents and children are awaiting news of his survival. The Satkhira Deputy Commissioner stated that authorities are coordinating with Indian rescue teams and diplomatic channels through the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Maritime Affairs to locate him.
