Maringá announces 95 cultural projects for 2026

The Maringá Secretariat of Culture (Semuc) has announced 95 selected projects for the 'Convite às Artes 2026' call for proposals. The initiative involves a total investment of R$ 973.2 thousand across 10 artistic categories, including music, dance, theater, literature, visual arts, popular arts, urban cultures, children's programming (Convitinho), heritage, and cinema.

This edition marks a significant expansion for the municipality, introducing five new categories to diversify artistic languages. Music received the highest number of selected proposals with 19 projects, followed by dance and theater with 18 each. According to Culture Secretary Tiago Valenciano, this edition represents the largest investment and the highest number of contracted projects in the history of the call, aimed at supporting local artists and increasing public access to culture.
