Brazilian towns distribute winter clothing in 2026 Agasalho campaign
Clubs, municipal social assistance departments and local businesses across several Brazilian municipalities have organized the 2026 Campanha do Agasalho, a winter‑clothing drive for families in vulnerability. In Mogi das Cruzes, the Clube de Campo is collecting coats, blankets and pet items until 31 July, while the Palmital city hall distributed 100 donated blankets and 100 children’s sock kits supplied by the Enersugar sugar mill. Lucas do Rio Verde’s social services continued to accept donations of coats, blankets, shoes and winter apparel through numerous collection points, extending the campaign beyond its official end date. In Maringá, the Pra Somar program together with the Acim association and Instituto Acim delivered 4,133 sorted garments, shoes and blankets to charities such as Hospital da Criança and Projeto Maná do Dia, directly reaching hundreds of households. Organizers repeatedly emphasized that each donated item helps heat families during the cold season and that the initiative will keep operating year‑round to meet ongoing needs.
