Maringá delivery driver dies in fatal head-on collision

Reginaldo Aparecido Francisco, a 39-year-old delivery driver known as “Bikudo,” was buried on Thursday at the Maringá Park Cemetery in Paraná following a fatal traffic accident.

On the night of Tuesday, September 22, Francisco was riding his motorcycle on Avenida Prefeito Sincler Sambatti during heavy rain when he was struck head-on by a car traveling in the opposite direction. Witnesses reported that the driver lost control, crossed the central median, and entered the oncoming lane.

Despite immediate first aid from bystanders and resuscitation attempts by emergency responders from the Fire Department and SAMU, Francisco died at the scene. The driver underwent a breathalyzer test, which returned a negative result for alcohol, and was released after providing a statement to the police.
