Maringá opens registrations for Gamer Day esports tournaments
Registrations are open until Friday, September 25, for esports tournaments featuring Counter-Strike 2, Street Fighter 6, and FIFA 2025. The competitions will take place on October 11 during ‘Gamer Day’ at the Maringá Urban Terminal.
Organized by the Maringá City Hall through the Maringá Agency for Innovation and Technology (Amitech), the event includes seven community attractions. The Counter-Strike 2 tournament offers 20 slots for teams of seven members, with a minimum age of 16. Participation is free, and the winning CS2 team will receive a prize of R$ 3,000.
In addition to competitive gaming, the event will feature free activations for EA Sports FC 25, Just Dance, racing simulators, and virtual reality experiences such as Beat Saber. The program also includes a live presentation of CiviQuest, an educational platform developed by the Maringá City Hall designed to gamify civic participation for students.
