Maringá selected to host Tomorrow. Building 2027 international congress

Maringá, Brazil, has been selected to host the 2027 edition of Tomorrow. Building, an international congress focused on smart and sustainable construction. Organized by Grupo iCities and endorsed by Fira de Barcelona, this marks the first time the event will be held outside of Spain.

The congress aims to bring together entrepreneurs, public authorities, researchers, and civil society to discuss how digitalization, innovation, and process optimization can transform urban infrastructure. Key topics include low-carbon construction, new materials, and building efficiency to address climate challenges.

The selection of Maringá recognizes the city's history of urban planning and its active real estate market. The event arrives amid global concerns regarding the construction sector's environmental impact; according to the United Nations, the industry is responsible for approximately 37% of global carbon emissions.
